Here is a variation of the sit-up that works your oblique muscles, or "love handles."  Notice one leg is down with the other bent and across the knee. With hands behind your head reach your elbow across the opposing knee. Do not pull your neck. Just like the lunges, this is the kind of exercise you can do in your living room while watching T.V.
